After a successful year for the Med&X Accelerator program in 2024, where we organized opportunities for 6 Croatian students, Med&X Accelerator continues to provide cutting-edge educational opportunities in 2025 too!
Applications for this year's program are open from January 13th to 24th, and include institutions such as Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, Yale University, and the University of Zurich. Also, this year for the first time we offer placements for students outside of the field of medicine.
Psychology and biochemistry-related students will also get a chance to embark on this unique and transforming opportunity of transferring cutting-edge skills from the leading academic institutions in the world back to their homeland of Croatia and thus creating bridges for future international scientific collaborations! Furthermore, PhD students are also eligible to apply.

What is the Accelerator?
One of our two main projects includes a one-of-a-kind Med&X Accelerator which enables students a short-term internship at leading institutions such as Harvard Medical School, Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, King's College, Mayo Clinic, and many others.
By fostering an international environment open to knowledge and skill transfer as well as inter-organizational collaborations, this program provides students with career-changing experiences.

Who Can Apply?

For the year 2025, the program is open for senior medical and psychology students as well as students from biochemistry-related fields. PhD students from the field of psychology and biochemistry are also eligible to apply. All participants must have Croatian citizenship.

The applications for the year 2025 open on January 13th, 2025. The evaluation process consisted of two phases. In the first phase, we evaluate the documentation sent by interested participants. The second phase of evaluation is reserved for the best candidates from the first phase. More details can be seen in the documentation at the top of this page.

For the year 2025, enrolled institutions are Massachusetts General Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, Yale University, Mayo Clinic, and University of Zurich. The program will take place during the summer/fall season of 2025.

Med&X Association will co-finance the costs related to the program for the selected participant in the amount of 600 - 800€. The rest of the expenses are the responsibility of the participant. However, Med&X will use it’s past experience to connect participants with other possible sources of financial support.
