What is the Accelerator?

One of our two main projects includes a one-of-a-kind Med&X Accelerator which enables students a short-term internship at leading institutions such as Harvard Medical School, Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, King's College, Mayo Clinic, and many others.

By fostering an international environment open to knowledge and skill transfer as well as inter-organizational collaborations, this program provides students with career-changing experiences.

We partner with leading research labs and clinics at:

  • For the year 2024, the program is open for medical students holding Croatian citizenship and enrolled in 4th, 5th or 6th year of study.

  • The applications for the year 2024 are currently closed. The evaluation process consisted of two phases. In the first phase we evaluated the documentation sent by interested participant. Second phase of evaluation was reserved for the best candidates from the first phase. More details can be seen in the documentation at the top of this page.

  • For the year 2024 enrolled institutions are Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Massachusetts General Hospital, Cleveland Clinic and King’s College London. The program will take place in August and September 2024.

  • Med&X Association will co-finance the costs related to the program for the selected participant in the amount of 500 - 600€. The rest of the expenses is the responsibility of the participant. However, Med&X will use it’s past experience to connect participants with other possible sources of financial support.

Want to host students in your institution?

If you have been moved and inspired by our story and would like to contribute to our idea, feel free to write us! We are always on the look for new research and clinical institutions who would like to shape future biomedical leaders with us!

Want to help fund the program?

Med&X wants to make this unique opportunity as accessible as possible. We have seen how detrimental it is when we allow money to stand in the way of talent and ambition. To help us achieve this, Med&X is searching for motivated partners, both private and public, who want to participate in this elite transfer of knowledge, skills and experience.

If you like the sound of a fellowship carrying your name or the name of your company/brand, we’d be more than happy to discuss this opportunity with you. Or if you prefer a simple single donation, we’d be also very grateful!
