The terms of taking part.

These terms cover two things: holding a Med&X membership account, and registering for events organized by Med&X Association (udruga), a Croatian non-profit based in Split. Our events include the Plexus Conference, the Plexus Gala Evening, the Med&X Accelerator, the Annual Biomedical Forum, and Building Bridges. By creating an account or registering for an event, you accept these terms.
1. Your account
You may create a free member account in our portal. You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for what happens under your account, and you agree that the information you give us is accurate. You can close your account at any time from Settings. If your account has paid event registrations, we keep an anonymized financial record after closure, as our accounting and legal obligations require, but your name and contact details are removed.
2. Registration and payment
When you register for an event, you confirm that your details are accurate and that you accept these terms. Paid registrations are processed by Stripe, and receipt of payment confirms your place. We never see or store your card number. Complimentary (VIP) registrations are confirmed at the moment you submit the form. Prices shown include any applicable taxes.
3. Refunds
All registration fees are non-refundable. If you cannot attend, you may transfer your place to another person by emailing info@medx.hr at least 14 days before the event, subject to our approval. If Med&X cancels an event, paid fees are refunded in full within 30 days. The full detail is in our Refund policy.
4. Attending an event
- After registering you receive a personal QR-coded ticket by email. You need it to enter, printed or on your phone.
- Tickets are personal and non-transferable, except for the transfer described in section 3.
- Dress code, timing, and venue details are in your confirmation email and on the official invitation.
- We may refuse entry to anyone who does not follow venue rules, the law, or these terms.
5. Photography and recording
We may photograph or record parts of our events for promotion, education, and our archive. By attending, you consent to your image being captured and used in Med&X communications. If you would rather not be photographed, tell us in advance in writing at info@medx.hr.
6. Code of conduct
We want every participant to feel respected. Harassment, discrimination, or behavior that disrupts an event will not be tolerated and may lead to removal without a refund.
7. Health, safety, and liability
You are responsible for your own health, safety, and belongings during an event. Med&X is not liable for loss, damage, injury, or expense you incur, except where it is caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
8. If an event cannot go ahead
If circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent an event (public-health restrictions, natural disasters, or government action), we may postpone or cancel it. Fees may be applied to the rescheduled date or refunded, as set out in our Refund policy.
9. Your data
We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy policy. You can ask us at any time what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies is the one published here at the date of your registration.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia, and any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent court in Croatia.
