Where you stand on refunds.

This policy covers registrations and tickets for events organized by Med&X Association (udruga), covering the Plexus Conference, the Plexus Gala Evening, the Biomedical Forum, Building Bridges, and Med&X Accelerator application fees. It sits alongside our Terms.

1. Registration fees are non-refundable

All registration and ticket fees are non-refundable. Accelerator application processing fees are non-refundable as well. Please make sure you can attend before you pay.

2. You can transfer your place

If you cannot attend, you may pass your place to another person instead. Email info@medx.hr at least 14 days before the event with the new attendee's details, and we will move the registration over once we approve it. There is no charge to transfer, but a name change may not be possible in the final days before an event.

3. If an event is cancelled or postponed

If we cancel an event for any reason not covered below, we refund your paid fees in full within 30 days, to your original payment method. If we postpone it for such a reason, your registration carries over, and if you cannot attend the new date we refund you in full within 30 days of your request.

If circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent an event from going ahead as planned, we may postpone it, move it to another venue or online, or cancel it. Such circumstances include public-health restrictions, natural disasters, war or civil unrest, general or transport strikes, the venue becoming unusable through fire, flood or an order of the authorities, and other government action.

• If we postpone or move it, your registration carries over to the new date or format. If you cannot take part, you may transfer your place (section 2). You may instead tell us at info@medx.hr, within 14 days of our email about the change, that you will not take part. You then receive the credit or refund described in the next point, and only the costs lost because of the postponement or move count toward your share.
• If we cancel it, you receive a credit worth the full fee you paid. You can use it for any Med&X event within 24 months of the cancellation, or pass it to another person. Until the credit is used or expires, you may ask for a refund instead. The refund is the fee you paid minus your share of the costs we have already paid for the event and cannot recover, such as the venue, catering, printing and payment-processing fees. Your share is those costs, less anything covered by insurance, sponsors or grants, divided among all paid registrations in proportion to the fees paid. It is never more than 30 percent of your fee. We send you the calculation and pay the refund within 60 days of your request. If the credit expires unused, we pay you this refund without a request.

If an event cannot go ahead because of circumstances outside our reasonable control, Med&X is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other costs you may have arranged.

4. EU right of withdrawal

For consumers in the European Union, the 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU does not apply to tickets for events tied to a specific date. Your options are the transfer and cancellation terms above.

5. How refunds are paid

Where a refund is due under section 3, it goes back to the card or account you paid from. Card refunds usually appear within about 10 business days. Bank-transfer refunds can take a little longer, depending on your bank.
